Ever felt like things weren’t going
your way because God was mad at you or something that you did? Or do you feel
like God is punishing you? Do you feel that God has set you up for failure? Have
you ever felt that God was out to get you?
Well, there is no reason why you
should feel this way but you may feel like that sometimes. But know that when
you do feel like this it is one of the enemy’s tactics you get you stuck. If he
can get you to believe that God is mad at you, out to get you or make you feel
condemned, then he can cause you to focus on working to get God’s approval
rather than accepting it. He derails you and fools you into believing that God
is mad at you. When he succeeds then the feeling of
condemnation takes root and constantly causes you to act out of fear rather
love. It makes you focus on the physical rather than the spiritual. Now, let me
tell you why God isn't mad at you.
Why God isn’t Mad at You.
1. When you were a sinner and lived
in darkness and separation from God, He loved you so much that He took on flesh
and came to earth to live like you. He became just like you so He could die and
pay for your sins.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21, ESV.
He took your place and paid the debts
of your sin. You deserved to be beaten, betrayed, bruised, to suffer and
crucified  but His pure and true love for you caused Him to take your
place.
2. God loves you. He loved you when
you were a sinner and still loves you now that you’ve become His
child.
The prove of His love for you is that
He took your place on the cross and paid for sins.
But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
3. God isn’t mad at you because Jesus
has justified you and has restored your relationship with Him.
He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:25
God isn’t mad at you though you
continuously transgress. This is not because He likes sin but because Jesus has
paid the price for your sins. Jesus has redeemed you and made you righteous and
holy.
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30
God loves you, it’s as simple as
that. You need to stop working to gain His approval and focus on accepting His
love and forgiveness. God isn’t mad at you. It doesn’t matter how you may feel,
let your reality be His word. The reality is that God loves you so much. As you
meditate on His love for you it will dispel every fear and
condemnation.
