Most people usually grow up preoccupied with the idea of finding Mr. or Ms. right. They make a long list of the qualities he should possess. They spend time going over the list, they add to and subtract from the list with time. They are so preoccupied with finding that one special person who completes them; their Mr. or Ms. Right, that they forget to prepare themselves to be that Mr. or Ms. right! It is great to know the kind of person you would like to spend the rest of your life with but it is best you work on being that person yourself.

You can only become someone’s Mr. or Ms. Right by working on yourself. Be the kind of person you would like to marry. I’ve put together ten things you should do as you wait;

Pray – become a man or woman of prayer, study what the bible says about marriage and seek counseling (learn from successful married couples. There is no need to repeat their mistakes!).
Find out your purpose (finding out your purpose is very important as it will determine who you should marry. You can find out why God created you through prayer, reading the bible and meditation)
Find something to do in the house of God
Build a relationship with yourself.
Get to know yourself and understand who you are.
Be honest about your strengths and weaknesses and work on them.
Love yourself in a balanced way.
Prioritize your relationship with God
Build yourself to be the right person.
Love unconditionally and deal quickly with offenses and forgive.
