There is Nothing New Under the Sun
Life is interesting. It is amazing how many times the tables quickly turn and how history shockingly always repeats itself! It must be true then that history indicates that men do not learn from history! Quite a shocker if you ask me. History is recorded so we can know of the past and improve our today and tomorrow, right?
Perhaps it is not that men do not
learn from history but that they perceive their experiences to be different and
peculiar to themselves. However, as Solomon states in Ecclesiastes there is
nothing new under the sun. If you haven’t heard of a situation or project
similar to yours, that doesn’t mean that you’re the first person going through
that. Read more and learn from the experiences of others. There is no need to
reinvent the wheel, when you can just enjoy the ride.
No matter what you might be
experiencing now, find comfort in the fact that there are people who have been
where you are now. They not only survived but conquered! You too will overcome,
don’t throw in the towel yet. The finishing line is closer than you think. Your
silver lining is just a few hours, days or weeks away. Endure, have faith and
hold strong to your confessions. This problem can’t kill you because the greater
one lives in you! You were made for so much more and so don’t allow your peace
and joy be stolen from you. Don’t settle for less because you’re worth so much
more and deserve so much more!
