LOVE that JUSTIFIES You
You’re deeply loved by the creator of the universe. He loves you so much that He created you in His own image. You originate from Him. His love for you compelled Him to come to earth in the form of Jesus just to demonstrate how much He loves you and what you mean to Him.
He was beaten, falsely accused and crucified but He endured it all because of His love for you. Even as the whips cut open His skin, it is declared that by his stripes you were healed. His pain purchased for you divine healing and divine health. In His death and resurrection He paid the ultimate price for all your sins (past, present and future sins). He took upon Himself your sinful nature so He could give you His righteous nature. Your righteousness is a person, Jesus Christ. He ensured that by His death your righteousness will not have to be judged based on what you do but by your acceptance of His love for you; Romans 10:9-10.
You can’t be judged as righteous based on what you do because God’s standards are too high for you to meet. The Apostle Paul makes us know that breaking one law given by God is equated to breaking them all hence no one can be righteous based on his own efforts. Even Abraham, the father of faith was not pronounced by God as righteous because of his obedience but because he wholly believed in God’s promises. Abraham believed and it was counted unto him for righteousness (Rom 4:3, Gal 3:6, James 2:23). All that it takes for you to be forgiven and righteous is accepting the love of God, Jesus that is believing in His death and resurrection.
When you believe in Jesus and put your trust in Him, you become born again. You become a new creation, an extra-ordinary species. You become a child of God: John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. You’re now born of God therefore born after the order of God. You're now a new creation. In the gospel of John, Jesus had this to say about those born by God: John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit... 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." You have been born of God so live the God life.
