Wisdom of the World VS The Wisdom of God

There many witty or wise sayings that people say about God and believers. We hear them over and over again but are these sayings all in the Bible? Does the word of God really say that? If not what does the Bible really say or teach us.

1. When you die heaven gains an angel.
This is so far from the truth. Heaven doesn't gain an angel when you die. You were made a little lower than the angels and the angels have been made ministering spirits to believers. The Bible also says we will judge angels. This means that you don't become an angel when you go to be with the Lord.

2. God helps those who help themselves.
On the contrary God helps those who rely on Him. God helps those who trust their burdens to Him.

3. The world says save and become rich.
However the Bible says give and it shall be given unto you. (Luke 6:38)

4. Try your best to be good so God can bless you.
This is false as God doesn't bless you because you've been good. He has already blessed you with all that you'll ever require for life and continues to bless you because you're His child.

5. The Bible says lay hands on the sick and they will recover but the world says don't because you may get infected.

6. The world says punish those who abuse you and curse those who curse you. But the Bible says bless those who curse you and pray for those who dispitefully use you.(Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:28)
