The way I see it you’ve got only two choices in the moment you realise that you’re dissatisfied with your current position in life. The moment that you come to the realisation that there is more life has to offer than you’re taking advantage of. You can either decide to continue living in your comfort zone or you can decide to jump. You either jump or remain as part of the crowd. There is comfort in the crowd but no one sees the individuals in a crowd they only see the one that is up there.

The difference between awesome and average is that awesome decided to jump of the path of blending in and to rather stand out. Awesome took the risk to standout.

Karma states that everything that happens to people happen because they deserve it. Karma is a theory of cause and effect. You spend your lifetime in fact lives (according to rebirth) paying for your sins or enjoying your good deeds. (I must state that I don't believe in physical rebirth or reincarnation. According to the Bible everyone is born and lives once after that death and then judgement). Class, status and one’s lot in life are all dependent cause and effects. This means there is no redemption for you neither is there forgiveness of sins. If you're having a hard time in life then you deserve it. If you're rapped, trafficked, abused, poor, sick or jailed for a crime you didn't commit, you deserve it. That's karma you get served what you deserve. There is only one food on the menu of karma that is facing the consequences of your decisions and actions.

With karma you never know how much you owe or how many lifetimes you have to spend in order to get to the level where all your sins are paid for. Karma can be compared to this saying “When you throw a ball against a wall it bounces back at you”. In fact it actually bounces back to you with much force than you had thrown it with.

Grace, on the other hand, is simply unmerited favour that sanctifies or absolves you of your sins. According to Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Righteousness to my understanding as a believer means to be justified before God. It is being blameless before God. Our righteousness as Christians is not dependent on our attitude or actions. We are not righteous because of our obedience to God or because of our good deeds. Righteousness is a free gift from God to anyone who repents and accepts God’s salvation to man, Jesus Christ.

In this post I list some scriptures that speak about our righteousness as Christians;

Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

According to the Bible we are all sinners because of Adam’s sin hence as the result of the obedience of Jesus Christ we are also made righteous. The qualification for our righteousness is accepting Jesus as our Lord and personal saviour.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

In life a lot of things are going to happen to you. People will mistreat and misjudge you. Your friends will hurt you especially those you really love. It can be really hard to forgive. You might play over and over again in your mind that incident that hurt you. The more you play over that tape the more furious you're going to be. Yes, you have a right to be angry. Scream or cry if you want to but learn to forgive, learn to let go.

I recently battled with unforgiveness. I felt I was wronged and I didn't deserve to be treated as I was. I felt it was so unfair for my loyalty and dedication to be thrown back into my face. When you've given up so much for others and they hurt you in return it can crush your world. However I also realised that the more I kept playing over the whole event the more hurt I became. This prevented me from moving on. I was trapped by my refusal to forgive and let go.

I paid a friend a visit and as we left her house so she could see me off, we used the route shortest to the main road. As we came out of her gate we saw three young boys either 19 years or just above. They were smoking weed and drinking an alcoholic beverage.

Two of them were speaking on the phone with ladies. I guessed this from the kind of conversation they were having. I was really surprised they could be intentionally doing this to themselves, that is be on the road to destroying their own lives. I say this not to judge them but because I was reminded of visiting a rehab centre. I saw a lot of young men who were there for drug addiction. Many people are addicted to one thing or the other. Some are addicted to drugs, food, porn, television and so on. The list goes on and on.

Instead of getting addicted to the wrong stuffs we need to have the right addiction. That might sound a bit impossible but it is not, you can have the right addiction. Get addicted to the Word of God. It is an addiction that works for your good not your bad. An addiction that makes your life and that of others turn out very great!

Php 2:14-15 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

When you’re young you have loads of dreams and answers for how to make the world a better place for all. You wish you were all grown up so that you can make a difference. However as the years come and go and you find yourself all grown up, you may not be the person you wished you would be. You may not be in the career that you wished or even have the kind of life that you dreamt about having. You may be in a state where you find what you do as insignificant. You may even feel unappreciated.

Yet it doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing at this moment, this is because you’re significant and important. Find joy in doing all that you have to do. The scripture quoted at the beginning of this post entreats us to “Do all things without murmurings and disputings….” This is important to remember and encourage yourself with. Whether you’re a stay at home mum, a waitress or stuck in a job that you hate, decide to be joyful. You may not be able to see the impact you’re making but I promise you you are.

The best decision anyone can make on earth is to accept Jesus as her Lord and personal saviour. It is just not the best but also the wisest thing to do. It is a great feeling to be justified before God and know that we can’t be condemned because we have surrendered our lives to the creator of the universe.

It is easy to be happy and trust in God when everything in our life is going great. Life seems so easy as we breeze through everything. However when our season changes and we find ourselves in the valley it becomes rather difficult to keep our faith. We grope around seeking God. We may feel alone and helpless. When we can’t seem to see God and are overwhelmed by our situation we need to still stand steadfast in faith.
