Trusting God When It’s HARD
The best decision anyone can make on earth is to accept Jesus
as her Lord and personal saviour. It is just not the best but also the wisest
thing to do. It is a great feeling to be justified before God and know that we
can’t be condemned because we have surrendered our lives to the creator of the
universe.
It is easy to be happy and trust in God when everything in our life is going great. Life seems so easy as we breeze through everything. However when our season changes and we find ourselves in the valley it becomes rather difficult to keep our faith. We grope around seeking God. We may feel alone and helpless. When we can’t seem to see God and are overwhelmed by our situation we need to still stand steadfast in faith.
This is the time to focus on Jesus and His finished work at the
cross. When we feel overwhelmed and desperate we need to check ourselves because
it means that we are focusing on ourselves and not Him. When we focus on
ourselves all we will see is weakness. Yet if we look at Him and behold Him our
situation will lose it’s weight as it shrinks to nothing in His presence. His
strength is made perfect in our weakness. We’ve looked too long at ourselves now
let’s focus on Him. He has already won the victory. Our victory is assured in
Jesus. It’s time to let go all the anxiety, weakness, debt, confusion, conflict
and anything that is stealing our peace and lay them at His feet. We’ll find
grace to help us carry on and face every situation knowing that we’ve already
overcome all obstacles or challenges.
