A Love Tale Older Than Time
Even before time begun He had you on
his mind. When He thought of creating someone to bear His image and share His
glory with, He thought of you.
Then on the day of creation He smiled
as He restored the earth and the universe. He had you on His mind as He created
all things because you were going to be His master piece. A master piece who
would be just like Him. And so with this in mind He created you and breathed His
breathe of life into you. The power that He had in heaven, He gave you on earth.
And God made man in his image, in the image of God he made him: male and female he made them. And God gave them his blessing and said to them, Be fertile and have increase, and make the earth full and be masters of it; be rulers over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing moving on the earth. Gen 1:27-28 (BBE)
He gave you the earth, the universe
and everything in it to rule. But alas this was short lived because like Esau
you sold your birth right. You sold your authority for a lie. The lie to be like
God when you already were like Him.
God watched in dismay as you handed
over your authority to the devil but He, painfully, couldn’t stop you because He
had given you your free will. He didn’t want you to love Him and obey Him
because you had no option but to love Him and follow Him because you wanted to.
Hell and its host jubilated and celebrated their victory.
God wasn’t mad at you even at this
point so He sought you out. He brought many men to bring you and all your
descendants back to Him. His Spirit was upon them and they delivered His
message. However the transaction that took place in Eden had severely damaged
your perspective of who you are. It damaged and killed you so though you were
living physically you were actually dead.
The walking dead
Though you thought you were alive you
were more like a zombie. Your spirit was dead. So since you were a dead man
walking you couldn’t understand the messengers He sent to you.
You broke His heart over and over
again but He was more than determined not to lose you forever.
He wanted to restore you back to your
old self and complete your creation and make you more like Him. So He put
together the redemption plan.
This plan required that He come down
to earth and become man. It required that He die for you “Without the shedding
of blood there is no remission for sins”. He left His throne and authority in
heaven and become like you by taking on flesh.
On earth,
He showed you the kind of power and
authority He had given you from the beginning. You saw it and was amazed but the
enemy’s seed prevented you from wholly believing. You were blinded and couldn’t
accept His perfect selfless love for you. This love led Him to the
cross.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)
Like a lamb he went to the cross so
that you will come back to life and regain your authority that was lost from the
beginning to the devil.
On the third day, He rose again and
gave you eternal life. He blotted out all the ordinances that had been written
against you. He showed who you truly are.
“Ye are gods and all children of the most high God.“ Psalm 82:6
Now you are alive and powerful beyond
measure. You have become a new creation and have God’s life at work in you. You
have authority to rule the earth and make it function according to God’s will
and purpose! You can do all things because the Holy Spirit of God dwells in
you.
Do you know that God loves you and
would have come to die for you even if you were the only person on earth? Do you
know the power that you have?
