The Cure For Self-Destruction
Many people are constantly living in such a way that they self-destruct. They sabotage themselves and consistently pursue habits and attitudes that ultimately destroy them.
The remedy to self-destruction is
knowing who you are in Christ. Self-destruction is not in your DNA or your genes
as a new creation. As a new creation, yeah, that is who you are! The day you
accepted the death and resurrection of Jesus you become a new being born after
the order of God. You became a spirit being.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
You have been recreated and born
again. You have been given the God kind of life that is Zoe. This kind of life
is full of power and is not subject to death or defeat. This life gives life to
others. Therefore destructive habits have no place in you. This life sets you on
course to live a life full of victory and triumph. It sets you free from every
bondage and makes you a slave to righteousness.
You can’t self-destruct because you
have been made new. Your victory is assured. Just meditate on the word of God
until you receive a personal revelation of Him. The rhema in your spirit makes
all the difference! The Bible that is God’s word must not remain information but
must move from logos to rhema. It is only at this point that you will begin to
see growth and change in your life.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 (KJV)
You can be a positive thinker all you
want but true change will only come when you have a personal revelation into the
word of God. True liberty and change can be found in no other but
Jesus.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1, NIV
Remember,
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17
The Lord has set you free and made
you His child and a joint heir with Jesus, so discover and live out your new
identity. You cannot self-destruct because you haven’t been built that
way.
Have you been at a stage in your life
where you felt you were always making the wrong decisions? How did you deal with
it?
